About Myself

My life's work

Ring the bells that still can ring...

My truth:

"Self-Mastery
is prime.
All else;
A mere
by-product."

The windmills of my mind

I was always fascinated by the working of the human mind, yet, like many of us, did not make time to pursue my interest. Until about twenty-one years ago, that is, when my life took a defining turn and led me down a rabbit-hole seeking answers to individual personality, behaviour, and choices; aspects all governed by the mind.

You know that nothing changes and vacillates faster, nor is as fixed and obstinate as the mind. And whilst we cannot see, nor touch, nor point to it, the mind is the most powerful of all phenomenon known to humankind.

Goal!

This curious playground, moving goalposts with, was to become home. This was to be my life’s work, and I would revel in it.

My past in the corporate sector would serve me well by allowing for a deeper appreciation of the intricacies most of my clients would be involved with. Roles from trainee to head of enterprise provided the confidence and dexterity to work with fishermen to chairmen.

Success?

Enterprise life had me developing business and markets in which to sell my employers’ wares. Not a fine choice of career for a sociable introvert; I’d actually set out to work contra my basic nature. Success was perpetually bitter-sweet; I was rewarded and bid to deliver more.

Same old, same old? Truth.

Success moved my cheese further away from my true work and my life’s purpose. In seeking acceptance, I bought into everyone’s stories more than I should have. Mine own though, not nearly enough.

You’ve likely done that too, and ignored your own real calling. Until light-break.

Dawn

The attempt to scout my own dark for my script proved a challenge. I required wisdom to wade and work through set ways, emphatic statements, comfort in habit, and so much more “stuff” that my mind preferred.

Mr Leonard Cohen (rip), in Anthem, sang: “There is a crack, a crack in everything, That’s how the light gets in”. Ring the bells.

My work and workplace

I work with your and my own mind in its journey of knowing and leading one’s own self and everything external, such as as community, enterprise or state. My workplace lies at the intersection of the operating mind, brain, intelligence, memory, habit, and ego. And more. The location map on the home page shows you the lay of that land.

This work represents close to twenty-one of forty-one years of my professional life. Clients are kind to say they experience authenticity, courage, and ownership. I’d like to think their experience of me today is in line with my core beliefs, values, and raison d’être.

And you…

If you’re deeply interested in the mastery of your own self and all else via that, read through the other sections and write in. Surprise yourself. Gift yourself the entirety of you.

Warmth.
